Independence Day of Indonesia Ceremony at IPB. Under the hot sun and within the fasting month of Ramadan, Rector and academic communities of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) remained serene attending the Commemoration Ceremony of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, Friday (17/8) at Darmaga Campus. "The ceremony of this year has one thing common with events of 67 years ago in that Sukarno and Mohammad Hatta proclaimed Indonesia's independence also on Friday and in the Month of Ramadan just like this year," said IPB Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto, MSc.
On that occasion, Rector, in addition to delivering his speech, also gave congratulations to the IPB employees who receive the award “Satyalancana Karya Satya”. The recipients of this award have served and worked for 10 to 30 years.
The ceremony of the 67th Anniversary of RI Independence started with the red-white flag raising, followed by silent moment, recitation of Pancasila (Five Life Principles) and the 1945 Constitution, announcement of employees receiving Satyalencana Karya Satya, a speech of ceremony instructor, and closing with the reading of prayers.
